The Book of Genesis – 2nd semester

This study will examine the book of Genesis through three workbooks written by Stephen Davey. This first workbook begins with the incredible account of man’s creation and ends with the tragic account of man’s destruction by the flood. The second workbook explores the lives of the Patriarchs and examines the difficult trials God took them through in order to teach them how to trust Him. The third workbook shares the story of Joseph, a teenage dreamer whose life is shattered when his jealous brothers throw him into a pit and then sell him into slavery. Through Joseph’s difficult life, we discover the profound truth that trials are really a gift in disguise. Joseph learns the lesson that we will learn from this series: God meant it for good.
HOMEWORK: 1 hour/week
